Well, as in all things. There is no time unless you make time.....and so I must make time for this web log. :) I hope that everyone is doing well out there. As for me, I have been swamped these last few months. Right now I am attending the Air Force’s basic Civil Engineer course at the Air Force Institute of Technology (Wright Patterson AFB). The biggest thing that I have learned so far is that I am a much better Architect than Engineer. I find higher math an illusive thing to grasp (actually, I find any math an illusive thing to grasp). Everyone here is fresh out of college and ready to rock. I’m one of the 6 or 7 old dogs that don’t remember anything. Except in my case, I never knew it in the first place. lol My math grades in High School were as follows:
Algebra 2: C
Trig: C -
Pre Calc: D
Calc 1: D
It was major miracle for me to have been accepted at VT. Thankfully, I managed to do better in college...but I still think that it is pretty funny to think of myself as an Engineer.
More importantly: 2 weekends ago I managed to get back to VA/ MD to see the family. Lucas is growing into a big big boy. He is eating all sorts of new fruits and vegetables. And he is sitting up on his own. In fact 2 days ago he got into a high chair for the first time (unfortunately, I was not around to witness this event).
As soon as I am able, I will post pictures on the internet for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
Trust you found your way to Japan. Anyone to greet you on arrival? Hope so. your mom tried to make contact with your greeter person. How do you like having the sun up when it's nighttime, and down during the day? Must be disorienting.
Love you all. Kisses all around. Dad
