bad news and pasta

Sorry for the lack of updates, stories and what not. I have been supremely overloaded at work these last couple of months....and there is no end in sight. I know that at first look that this seems like the same old gripe. The big difference right now is that Rheagan is also pretty taxed for time. She recently started a home day-care business and is the set designer for a play (Grease) that the on-base theater guild is putting on.

This is bad news for the men of the Frantz family in two big ways. First: the set design bit has turned Luke and I into the ‘set construction’ team. Ugh! Second: the day-care business requires a level of cleanliness/picked-up-edness that Luke and I are normally not accustomed to. I have made a good faith effort to reform my untidy ways, but Luke doesn’t seem to take to the concept of reform very well. For example: just the other day while at the dinner table and just as we had started the meal, Lucas flipped his plate of pasta (and sauce) upside down in front of him and then sent the plate into orbit around the dining table where it later descended for a hard landing on the carpet. After which, he quietly deposited 2/3rds of the pasta onto the floor while consuming the difference. Upon noticing my concerned look he grabbed a fistful of the pasta and handed to me....It was a bribery attempt!

Therefore, as a result of Luke’s blatant disrespect for authority I have taken it upon myself to ‘ground’ Luke for a month (no car, no phone, and no video-games). However, I don’t think that he is particularly bothered by these measures. He seems to think that pulling Mommy’s hair and ridding on Daddy’s shoulders are more fun anyways. Go figure
