I know the smiling faces of children has a special meaning for you. There must be for you a special warm memory of other smiling faces you long to see.
For me, these Afghan children contrast pleasantly with the goblins and princesses who came to our door last night for treats. We had a skeleton, several witches, a ladybug, two spacerangers, a princess, a girl devel, spiderman, spiderwoman and a zebra. We had no terrorists or politicians I am happy to report.
Next week, on the 13th, your grandmom Nez is celebrating her 90th birthday. We plan to attend. Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of being up there during your wife and kids visit. Take care, All or love.
